User Testing
We did user testing in Fall 2018 and Spring 2019. The result for both rounds of user testing are displayed below. We has some great takeaways that helped informed our project going into our development phases.
Learning issues
We encountered a handful of learning issues during our user testing in Fall 2018. You can see them in the picture. We took this information and made significant changes to how we planned to structure our project. This was very informative and gave us the insight we needed to arrive at our positive results in 2019.
Usability issues
Our biggest usability issues were regarding navigation. The interface not thoughtfully designed from a UX perspective. Although it was just a prototype, it drove many decisions we made in the final project development phases.
Takeaways for final project development
In this image, you can see what we took away from our initial user testing. We wanted to organize, simplify, and create an overall better user experience for our learners so they focus on learning, and not wondering where to go or what to click.
User Satisfaction Survey
Our results were much better this time around. We asked the users to rate our interface in with the following questions and statements:
1. What is your email (for tracking purposes)
2. The interface is easy to use
3. The interface is visually appealing
4. The interface is easy to navigate
5. The individual pages are well-designed
6. I would likely use this interface in the future
7. I would refer others to this training
8. I was able to complete the tasks in a timely manner
9. The information provided was clear
10. The training was an effective use of my time.
